The empty chair

Shall I sit here for a while?

Shall I close my eyes and open my ears to the music of the wind?

Shall I postpone whatever I had planned to do, 

That I have already forgotten, anyway?

Shall I just surrender to what has been put on my path

And be simply grateful for all the caring, loving 

And wonderful energy about me at this very moment?

Let me just ponder about this while sinking deeply 
into the empty armchair
