The heart of the shield is the Vesica Pisces, comprised of two equal and interlocking circles that share a radius.  This symbol both evokes and represents the polarities of life:

• Earth, Mother, Subconscious, Underworld, Shakti, Goddess, Danu and Shadow
• Heaven, Father, Higher Mind, Vision, Shiva, God, Dagda, Illumination.

The place of intersection of the two circles is the portal, the vesica, the yoni, the fish, Pisces, where the energies marry and merge. It is within this central Mystery that mystical truths may be embodied and noble legends lived out on earth.

The larger circle that holds the two is the circle of the Creator, the Void, the Universe. It is the Circle of Life.
