Camden Town 1997, 1998 or 1999?

Who cares about what year is was?
Sometime at the end of last millennium.
We were kind of wondering if it would be the last...

Would we make through?
Were we about to witness the end of the world?

We certainly were
Cos' the world ain't the same as it used to be

Seems like it was yesterday
Seems like it was another life
Hadn't probably slept for days
Probably high on substances
Life was an endless crazy party

There was the urge, the rage, the craving to live
NOW
There was the urge, the rage, the craving to heal
NOW
There was the urge, the rage, the craving to forget
NOW
There was the urge, the rage, the craving to start
ALL OVER AGAIN

The foolish thought that if you ran fast enough
You'd escape from your mind
That if you fought hard enough
You'd be all right

Then came salvation
In the smoky shape of inspiration

A hand gripping you when you're about to fall
A shoulder to cry on when the pain is past bearable
A body to lean on when your own can stand no more

Siblings, lovers, friends, mentors

Beings who speak and feel the same way
Beings who bleed and ache the same way
Beings who laugh and fly the same way

The beginning of a chaotic journey
Towards the Self
Towards the Light
Within the Darkness
Taming the fears
Domesticating the anger
Harnessing the rage
Accepting the challenge

Becoming friend, lover, sibling, mentor with Your Self.

Yeap! The journey began there and then. Sitting behind a stall, every Saturday and Sunday by the Regent's Canal, selling Deepak's Crap to eager customers.
